Tea Party Patriots announced they will be hosting a town hall meeting on immigration in Harrisburg, PA on August 19.
The meeting will focus on the current Senate immigration bill, and to prepare attendees for what to expect if anything in the House bill passes and heads to conference.
Tea Partiers hope to pressure members of Congress during the August recess to ensure none of the House GOP leadership try to save the Senate bill or take it to conference with a bill of their own.
The Tea Party Patriots have also provided a map of Congressional town hall meetings occurring in August throughout the country, urging constituents to confront their members of Congress about the alleged danger of passing the Senate bill. The Patriots’ website has a list of resources offering main talking points around the bill to address their elected officials.
