Pamela Geller & Allies Hold Presser to Defend NYPD Muslim Surveillance

Anti-Muslim activists and conspiracy theorists will be a holding a press conference to denounce the campaign of New York City mayoral candidate Bill de Blasio. The press conference, organized by Pamela Geller and Cliff Kincaid, will also feature conspiracy theorist Trevor Loudon.

According to fliers advertising the event, the speakers cite de Blasio’s stated opposition to the New York Police Department’s Muslim surveillance program as their primary reason for opposition. Geller and others involved with the organized Islamophobia movement view the discontinuation of such programs as a national security threat. As Geller wrote in an October 20 column for the conspiracy-obsessed website World Net Daily, “[t]his surveillance is in large part what has prevented another major jihad attack in the city since Sept. 11.” Geller concluded her column stating, “we will be exposing the seditious De Blasio and why he must be defeated.”

Thursday’s event will not be the first time Geller and Kincaid have collaborated. Earlier this year, the two held a similar press conference to discuss what they viewed as another “homeland security threat” – the Al Jazeera America news network.
