Oklahoma State Rep. John Bennett once again used his office and public resources to antagonize Muslim residents during a lobbying event last Friday.

“An official in the office of state representative John Bennett confirmed that staffers were dispatched to distribute Bibles and fliers at the capitol in Oklahoma City during the Muslim Day proceedings.” The International Business Times reports. “The fliers requested that participants answer 10 questions, including ‘Will you denounce the terrorist organization Hamas?’ among other inquiries about their support for violent acts.”

State Rep. Bennett‘s actions are remarkably similar to those of Texas State Rep. Molly White during a January lobbying event in Austin.

Last year, Bennett made headlines after declaring Islam “has no place in the United States” and “a cancer in our nation that needs to be cut out.” He has also previously hosted and organized events with prominent members of the organized Islamophobia movement including Frank Gaffney.
