Islamophobe Daniel Greenfield Calls Islam a “Gang Religion”

April Callen • Sep 26, 2013

David Horowitz Freedom Center fellow Daniel Greenfield wrote an op-ed calling Islam a “gang religion” whose sole purpose is “killing non-Muslims.” He claims the rest of the framework of Islam such as preaching love and virtue was borrowed from other religions and is only secondary to killing unbelievers.

“Islamic violence we are told is an aberration. But it isn’t. To the extent that Islam is anything, it is violence,” Greenfield wrote. He continued on to compare Islam to the Latin Kings, a notorious street gang, saying it may reach religious status one day, but will never be able to escape its origin of violence.

Greenfield is a regular contributor at FrontPage Magazine, a website known for its anti-Muslim content and conspiracy theories about progressives. The site was founded by David Horowitz, a prominent figure in the organized Islamophobia movement who has claimed that Palestinians are Nazis and believes Islamic extremism has infiltrated the U.S. education system.
