Gheen: “illegal and violent…extra-political activities” might be an option

Domenic Powell • Jun 22, 2012

Speaker of the North Carolina House Thom Tillis recently met with a lobbyist who suggested that “extra-political activities” that were “illegal and violent” might be an option immigration restrictionists are forced to choose.

William Gheen, the president of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC), made that prognostication when speaking to radio host Janet Mefford. ALIPAC has an organizational policy to refer to the president as “Dictator Obama,” whom must be challenged, naturally, by patriotic Americans.

Gheen and Tillis haven’t gotten along in the past—the speaker has not made anti-immigrant legislation a priority of the general assembly. Gheen called for Tillis’s ouster as speaker in April.
