The Islamphobic law firm American Freedom Law Center (AFLC) announced in December that former Bush-era attorney general and judge, Michael Mukasey, has joined their advisory board.

Mukasey is known for his controversial remarks about Islam and Muslims as well as his unwavering support of the Patriot Act and the unauthorized wiretapping of suspected terrorists. Salon reported Mukasey appeared on Breitbart Media’s “uninvited” panel at CPAC 2013 alongside anti-Muslim activists Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer. During the panel, Mukasey stated the majority of Muslims “adhere to a view of their religion that agrees on the need to impose Sharia, or Islamic law, on the world.”

In AFLC’s press release announcing their new advisory board member, Mukasey was quoted saying how pleased he was to be on the board. He also commented that AFLC’s co-founders David Yerushalmi and Robert Muise “represent the highest standards of the legal profession.”

“Moreover, they are courageous leaders who have seized their opportunity to uphold the Constitution and to confront the ever persistent Civilization Jihad waged right here at home by the Muslim Brotherhood and its fellow travelers,” he added.
