There Goes the Neighborhood: May 27, 2016

Imagine2050 Staff • May 27, 2016

There Goes the Neighborhood is a weekly series from Imagine 2050 staff highlighting upcoming nativist events.

This week, a virulently anti-Muslim evangelical pastor continues his tour of the Upper Midwest.

During presentations across the country, anti-Muslim pastor Usama Dakdok has claimed “every Muslim is a demon” and described Islam as a “wicked cult.” This won’t be Dakdok’s first time in the Midwest. As Bluestem Prairie has reported, he has given presentations in Minnesota going back to at least 2011.

Today, May 27, Dakdok will speak in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He will then speak in Winner, South Dakota on Tuesday, May 31. The Grand Rapids, Minnesota chapter of anti-Muslim grassroots group ACT for America will then host Dakdok on Thursday, June 2.

Additional information on these events and others can be found in the map below. The events scheduled for next week are marked with red stars.
