There Goes the Neighborhood is a weekly series from Imagine 2050 staff highlighting upcoming nativist events.
This week, one of the country’s largest white nationalist gatherings will take place in Tennessee.
The annual American Renaissance conference begins today, May 20, and goes through Sunday, May 22, in Burns, Tennessee. The conference is organized by prominent white nationalist Jared Taylor through his New Century Foundation. Speakers at this year’s event include Peter Brimelow, founder of the virulently anti-immigrant and anti-black website VDARE.com, and former Klan lawyer Sam Dickson. Speakers from abroad will include South African white separatist Dan Roodt along with Filip Dewinter and Anke Van dermeersch of the far-right Flemish nationalist party Vlaams Belang.
Jared Taylor made headlines earlier this year when he was featured on robocalls supporting presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s campaign.
