More Tanton Network Members Published in Journal Founded by Anti-Semite

Stephen Piggott • Mar 17, 2011

Earlier this month, we broke the news of Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) citing a report by one of its own writers, Philip Cafaro, in the Journal of Social, Political and Economic Studies. The Journal is edited by anti-Semite Roger Pearson. Pearson once stated, “If a nation with a more advanced, more specialized, or in any way superior set of genes mingles with, instead of exterminating an inferior tribe, then it commits racial suicide…”

On his Journal’s website, Pearson lists the authors he has published over the past 10 years. It comes as no surprise that Philip Cafaro was not the only person connected to CIS or the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) who has also been published in the Journal.

Donald A. Collins has not one, but two articles published in Pearson’s Journal. Collins is a member of the board of advisors of the anti-immigrant group FAIR. Colllins’ wife, Sarah Epstein, sits on FAIR’s board of directors. Collins also writes for VDARE.com a website founded by white nationalist Peter Brimelow which features anti-Semitic writers such as Kevin MacDonald.

Yeh Ling Ling, another member of FAIR’s board of advisors also has an article published in Pearson’s anti-Semitic journal. Ling Ling is the executive director at Alliance for a Sustainable USA, another anti-immigrant group which promotes the idea of an immigration moratorium. Not only do FAIR board of advisor members have articles published in Pearson’s journal, but even current FAIR employees like Jack Martin, director of special projects for FAIR, have articles published by Pearson!

Steven Camarota of CIS is another person directly affiliated with either CIS or FAIR to have an article published in Pearson’s anti-Semitic journal. Camarota is no stranger to having his material published in anti-Semitic circles. In 2009, the anti-Semitic American Free Press published an article by Camarota in two editions of its newspaper. Although, CIS claims it did not give American Free Press permission to run the article.

However, CIS can’t deny that each week it continues to circulate articles from VDARE.com which publishes material written by known anti-Semites.

CIS and FAIR material showing up in anti-Semitic journals is not something new and not something that is likely to go away anytime soon. These groups claim that they are in no way, shape or form promoting racism. But as more evidence comes to light of their ties to racist publications, the harder it is for these groups to refute that claim.
