David Horowitz Freedom Center fellow Daniel Greenfield expressed his concern over a recent World Net Daily (WND) article that presented the claim that a section of the Senate’s immigration-reform bill allows for the increase of Afghans eligible to emigrate to the US by three fold.
According to WND, the bill includes special visa plan which would increase the quota to 5,000 more Afghans allowed per year. Greenfield is not best pleased and believes that the Afghan birth rate will now skyrocket in America.
“The Afghan birth rate is 3 times the American one. So start multiplying that 5,000 [sic],” he wrote in his Front Page Magazine column.
WND also reported the legislation would further loosen immigration qualifications for those from Afghanistan, allowing more family members to join admitted asylum-seekers. Greenfield provided juvenile and culturally insensitive comments to the legislation: “Bring your wives. Bring all your wives. And bring their wives. And their wives’ wives. There’s no limit. The border is open. And the welfare is easy.”
Greenfield posits that much could go wrong with the new legislation and, to prove his “point,” reiterates that Dzhokhar and Temerlan Tsarnaev, the Boston bombing suspects, came to the US as refugees.
