Steve Martel, a team leader for the grassroots organization ACT! for America, will speak at the May 18 meeting of the Rossmoor-Los Alamitos Republican Women Federated.
According to the meeting announcement, Martel will focus on the “true history, doctrines and goals of Sharia-compliant Islamists.” The announcement also says that, unlike Hasidic Jews and Amish communities who “just want to be left alone to practice their religious beliefs,” Muslims want to spread Sharia law to non-Muslim societies.
ACT! for America is led by its founder and director, Brigitte Gabriel, a sought-after spokesperson who claims “radical Islam” is rooting in the United States. She claims an American Muslim “cannot be a loyal citizen,” and she regularly points to Islam as the “real enemy” and threat to the United States.
Gabriel is prone to “sweeping generalization and exaggerations,” writing in her first book, Because They Hate: A Survivor of Islamic Terror Warns America, “The cancer is called Islamofacism. This ideology is coming out of one source: The Koran.”
