Update: The nature of Gabriel’s visit, according to a post-meeting email to supporters, was “to deliver a petition representing the voice of over half a million members, expressing your firm support for President Trump’s Executive Order on Immigration and Travel ban from terror-ridden countries.”
Gabriel also posted a photo of herself in what appeared to be mid-meeting with the caption: “Very productive day at the White House!”

Anti-Muslim demagogue Brigitte Gabriel took to social media to announce she had a meeting at the White House today. Gabriel heads ACT for America, the nation’s largest anti-Muslim grassroots group. Despite being one of the more prolific Muslim-bashers in the U.S. today, Gabriel and her group maintain cozy relationships with lawmakers and public officials.

It remains unclear who Gabriel is actually meeting with, whether it is Trump himself or just his staffers. Any actual agenda items also remain unknown.
Among its priorities in 2017, ACT has listed “Eliminate Refugee Resettlement from countries harboring terrorism” and “Classify the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist organization.” Currently, the Trump administration is still weighing designating the Muslims Brotherhood as a foreign terrorist entity, a longtime goal for Gabriel and her fellow anti-Muslim agitators. The group has also advocated “Re-writ[ing] FBI training manuals on counter terrorism.”
Gabriel and ACT have previously touted having “a direct line” to Trump through their allies in the administration such as CIA Director Mike Pompeo, foreign policy adviser Walid Phares, and formerly Michael Flynn. The latter two both serve on ACT’s advisory board.
In a recent email to supporters, ACT commended Trump on the revised travel ban and his efforts to “curb the influx of refugees” from Muslim-majority countries.
“The risk posed to American lives for suspending refugee resettlement from high risk countries is zero,” it stated.
In the same email, ACT also decried protesters who showed up to airports to oppose the president’s Muslim ban.
“To think that in a post 9/11 world, we should have to tolerate anarchist mobs at our airports, disrupting and scaring passengers as they try to make their way through security gates peacefully, is a disgrace to no end,” the email read.
This is not the first time Gabriel has bragged about meeting with Trump. In February 2016, she was photographed with then-candidate Trump at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida. Gabriel was apparently at the estate to give a “national security briefing.”
