Anti-Muslim activist Bill Warner’s Voices for the Voiceless campaign will hold a silent demonstration on April 5 to protest the Religion Communicators Council’s (RCC) national convention in Nashville. Warner and supporters are staging the protest to raise awareness of the religious persecution of Christians across the globe. “In short,” the event announcement reads, “the RCC is the professional home of people who support Islam, call us haters, Islamophobes and refuse to condemn the jihad against all religions, not just Christianity.”
Warner also heads the Center for the Study of Political Islam. Despite holding no formal background in Islamic or religious studies, Warner regularly poses as an authority on Islam while speaking at far-Right events in Tennessee and elsewhere.
Other Tennessee groups with a history of anti-Muslim activism including the Tennessee Freedom Coalition and the Tennessee Eagle Forum has expressed their support for Warner’s campaign. The latter of which advertised the upcoming RCC protest in its March 26 newsletter.
