A young anti-fascist activist was murdered by suspected neo-Nazi skinheads in France on Wednesday. 18-year-old Clément Méric was declared dead at a Paris hospital late Wednesday night after being badly beaten by members of a far-right group. This tragic attack comes amid increasing racist violence in Europe.

Our thoughts are with Méric’s loved ones during this difficult time. We encourage all Americans to strongly condemn racist violence at home and abroad.
