On Nov. 4, Alabama residents will vote on whether or not to include a new Constitutional amendment banning foreign (i.e. Shariah) law. This is not the run-of-the-mill anti-Shariah bill, however.

Amendment 1 would not only add Alabama Laws for Alabama Courts to the Constitution, it also prohibits Alabama from giving “full faith and credit to public acts, records, or judicial proceedings of another state that violate the public policy of the State of Alabama.”

The bills primary sponsor is State Sen. Gerald Allen, who was recently awarded with ACT! for America’s Eagle Award at the group’s 2014 national conference.
